Looking Under the Hood

Starting with the top of the line, the SRT Hellcat includes a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V-8 that turns 710 horsepower. That allows you to go 0 to 60 in roughly 3.5 seconds, do the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds, and hit the top end of an awe-inspiring 180 mph. All that speed is harnessed by paddle shifters on the steering wheel and can be used in seven drive modes, including auto, sport, track, snow, tow, eco, and valet. You can also step up your Hellcat with the optional Plus and Premium packages.

The rest of the family also sports some impressive items under the hood, such as the 392 cubic-inch HEMI V-8 engine in the Durango SRT 392 that provides 475 horses. It will do the quarter mile in just under 13 seconds and has a best-in-class towing capacity of 8,700 pounds. The Durango R/T and the Citadel are powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine with 360 horsepower, and the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine delivers 260 horsepower in the GT and SXT.

Sliding into the Driver’s Seat

Power is only half of what the impressive package the 2024 Durango family offers. Comfort is necessary when on a road trip or daily commute. The driver’s seat feels more like a spacious cockpit with all the essential tools, information, and features at the driver’s fingertips. Heated front seats are also part of the standard features on the Durango lineup to ensure you are constantly feeling your best.

A 10.1-inch touchscreen is located in the center dash and is canted 7 degrees toward the driver for added ease and comfort. This screen is home to all the connectivity features, navigation, and entertainment you and your passengers will want or need while enjoying a ride in your new Durango. The switches under the touchscreen are chrome toggles for less driver distraction when looking for controls, and mini bin storage is also centrally located for easy access.

Driver and Passenger Safety are Essential

The highest priority for Dodge is the safety of its customers. The Durango line includes over 60 safety and security features, including standard blind-spot monitoring, seven standard airbags and full-length three-row side curtain airbags, front-row active head restraints, and trailer sway controls. Other optional items include forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, rear cross path detection, and Uconnect with 911 call and roadside assistance services.
